Knife Maintenance - Millivolt

Short Term Maintenance

Refreshing the edge of your knife would be considered short term maintenance. After use, the edge of your blade tends to not feel as sharp as when the knife was new. You may feel that the knife has to be sharpened but this is usually not the case. Long before an actual blade sharpening is needed, the blade only needs to be stropped in order to bring back your blade to a good sharp edge. There are many good videos online showing how to properly strop your knife. I will include a video here in the future.

Sharpening

After some time of frequent use, when stropping seems to no longer bring the edge back, sharpening may be necessary. There are many good videos online showing how to properly sharpen your knife. I will include a video here in the future. WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SHARPEN WITH ANY TYPE OF HIGH SPEED POWER SHARPENER AS IT WILL RUIN THE BLADE TEMPER.
